APRIL 26-29: CHALLENGING LIBRA MOON

MOON IS VOID OF COURSE from 5:49am EDT all day until 9:13pm on Thursday, April 26. MOON ENTERS LIBRA at 9:13pm and remains here until Sunday, April 29 at 1:32am. LAST ASPECT OF MOON: Moon Opposite Uranus in Aries. Important practical actions are not likely to work out as planned during the V/C Moon period and it's probably best not to waste your time trying to make something happen. It's most propitious to use this time for inner creative work or imagining future actions. The Libra Moon is ruled by Venus and highlights Relationships, Beauty, Art and Equality/Justice. Libra reflects the state of seeing both sides of a situations, so can often be a good time for mediation. It can also devolve into ambivalence. Libra's strengths are being able to see where to compromise, how to negotiate and collaborate. With this Last Aspect that has repeatedly hindered Libra's optimum expression over the last year or so, many relationships have been struggling to find freedom and new or unusual ways of being. This is a collective dilemma. Use your Libran fairness and Uranian innovative intelligence to find your way through. Uranus also reflects the principal of Separation. Uranus opposite Venus-Ruled Libra Moon is a classic break-up indicator. If that's the only way to establish the space you need, perhaps you might try it to some degree - it doesn't have to be permanent, but it's likely to give you the objectivity to sort things out. Venus also rules money and Uranus might suggest some conflict in this arena. Creating an aesthetically pleasing environment will help bring peace to any conflicted situation. You don't have to spend a lot to have Beauty around you. Flowers always do it for me.

LIBRA MOVIE SCENE: Whiplash, 2014; Writer/Director: Damien Chazelle. Miles Teller is Andrew, a driven drummer on a crash course to being 'one of the greats.' He enters into a brief relationship with ambivalent college student Nicole, played by Melissa Benoist. She's polar opposite to his clarity, having no clue what she wants to do with her life. It turns out, in this scene, that he's so committed to his musical path that he knows he won't have time for her. This is the harsh Uranian break-up scene. Andrew eventually learns a hard lesson from his psycho music teacher Fletcher, played by an earth-shattering JK Simmons. While the love relationship is not the major element of the film, its failure is symptomatic of the separating principle which is often invoked when the ego is hell-bent for fame. This is an amazing film for other reasons really. The relationship of note is between teacher and student...Uranus in Aries is a perfect description for it too: they are at war. The jazz improvisations lend themselves brilliantly to the emotions at hand. Interestingly, Chazelle went on to write and direct La La Land which is a more developed romance between a musician (Ryan Gosling) and actress (Emma Stone) but also ends in a Uranian separation.
