NOVEMBER 7-9: CHALLENGING CANCER MOON

MOON ENTERS CANCER on Tuesday, November 7 at 5:44am EST and remains here until Thursday, November at 0:14am. LAST ASPECT OF MOON: Moon Square Uranus in Aries. Ruled by the Moon, this Cardinal Water sign tends to be highly emotional, dependent and wants to stay close to home. The Feminine Archetype is highlighted with The Mother being at the center of the narrative. We tend to be protective of others now, especially those we love and who may feel particularly vulnerable. We want to create a nourishing womb for them in which to feel secure. Good food, the feeling of belonging and warmth from the cool autumn weather helps enormously. Just be conscious that you may be extending yourself too far when the object of your support may need more space. With the Uranus Last Aspect, it's very possible that the protective container upon which we depend may be upset in some unexpected way. In general, actions initiated during this Moon period tend to have CHALLENGING results.

CANCER SCENE FOR THE DAY: Thirteen, 2003; Director: Catherine Hardwicke. Mom has a major meltdown in Hardwicke's directorial debut. Holly Hunter, as Mother to thirteen year old Tracy (Evan Rachel Wood) is barely keeping it together when her daughter decides to walk on the wild side with popular girl Evie, played by thirteen year old co-writer of the script, Nikki Reed. All kinds of Uranian hell breaks loose when they step over the line. Hardwicke soon went on to direct Lords of Dogtown and the first film of the Twilight trilogy. She won Best Director for U.S. Drama at Sundance for this film.
