APRIL 4-6: VERY GOOD LEO MOON

MOON REMAINS IN CANCER until 4:45pm EDT on Tuesday, April 4. SEE April 2 for info. MOON GOES VOID OF COURSE from 4:45pm until 6:13pm. Actions initiated during V/C period tend not to work out as planned or desired. Best to use this energy for inner creative work and envisioning future actions. MOON ENTERS LEO at 6:13pm and remains until Thursday, April 6 at 6:16pm. LAST ASPECT OF MOON: Moon Trine Saturn in Sagittarius. The warmth and generosity of Leo lights up the room now. We're in childlike playtime. This Fixed Fire sign is ruled by the Sun; it loves to shine, entertain and make others feel Loved. The Saturn Last Aspect offers a container for all this Fire, giving a more serious, practical and disciplined quality to this period. Fire ignites our imagination and passion. Use this energy to begin Creative projects and you should have what it takes to complete your work. If barriers to completion occur, trust that they will be successfully overcome. Leo wants to have fun but try not to be totally self-absorbed! Try to be conscious of others' needs. If anyone calls you on being egocentric, let it raise your consciousness while not taking the wind from your sails. Actions initiated during this Moon period tend to have VERY GOOD results.

NOTE: Wednesday, April 5 and Thursday, April 6 are the LAST GOOD DAYS BEFORE MERCURY GOES RETROGRADE. Do the important things that need to be done NOW! Mercury Stations Direct on May 3 and will be clear after May 7.

SCENE FOR THE DAY: Basquiat, 1996; Director: Julian Schnabel. A passion for the creative spirit drives this legendary downtown graffiti artist toward international success. Jean-Michel Basquiat, (Jeffrey Wright) befriends Andy Warhol (David Bowie) who introduces him to the larger art world which catapults him to meteoric fame. In this scene he is given a studio (his Saturn container) in which to expand his expression. Miles Davis' innovative jazz accompanies the opening of the scene emphasizing Basquiat's creative spirit which is given new form. While he lived his dream for a number of years, drug overdose claimed his life and this glorious star burned out during an early  Saturn return at 27. Perhaps he didn't create a large enough container for all his fire. Interestingly, his Mercury was in Sagittarius, indicating his exuberant self-expression. His Sun, however, at 0 Capricorn (on the cusp of Sag) is in wide conjunction with Jupiter (ruler of Sag) and Saturn, all in Capricorn. So instead Saturn being ultimately supportive, as in the Trine, it ultimately reflected his self-imposed limitations and demise.
