(See Feb 23 for Aquarius info) MOON IS VOID OF COURSE from 1:11pm until 7:24pm when it ENTERS PISCES where it remains until Monday, February 27 at 6:08pm. It then goes VOID OF COURSE until 11:52pm. Important actions initiated during the V/C Moon tend not to work out as planned or desired. It's best to use this energy for inner creative work or imagining future actions. LAST ASPECT OF MOON: Moon in Pisces Square Saturn in Sagittarius.  

The Moon conjoins the Sun at 8 Pisces creating the NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE which is exact at 9:58am EST on Sunday, February 26.  This is an Annular Eclipse which is when a small ring of the Sun is visible beyond the dark disk of the Moon. It's not visible from North America. Eclipses indicate times of dramatic change. The Sun, which can symbolize the Masculine Archetype - including a more scientific reason-based perspective - is blocked by the Moon, which can reflect the Feminine more inclusive emotional-based Archetype. Muse on that! Both Sun and Moon are ruled by Neptune for this Moon period. It's archetypal theme could be called 'The Urge to Merge': Unification: All is One and One is All.
While this reflects a highly Sensitive, artistic, compassionate, intuitive and inclusive time, because delineation, definition and separation are elusive, we may feel Confused. Life feels ambiguous. The line between reality and fantasy is difficult to see. Illusions and deceptions may present themselves. Membranes are thin and we easily absorb energy and emotions around us. Neptunian water is the theme of this magic. Will the Saturnian preparation, perseverance and mastery of the performers overcome the natural liquid force, or will their self-imposed limitations prohibit survival. The illusion must embrace Saturnian boundaries in order to achieve success. Clarity, honesty and knowing what we truly value are vital to navigating Pisces. FEBRUARY 21-22: GOOD CAPRICORN MOON

MOON IN CAPRICORN from 2:08am EST until Wednesday, February 22 at 10:24pm.  LAST ASPECT OF MOON: Moon Square Jupiter in Libra. Ruled by Saturn, this Cardinal Earth sign is generally a Good time for beginning projects. There is support for bringing-to-form the ideas of your ambition. The Last Aspect Square to Jupiter does suggest, though, a push/pull energy that wants to simultaneously expand and contract. We may feel the urge for more freedom within constricted circumstances or relationships. We may also feel driven to overdo whatever we engage in at this time. In this scene, we witness the conventional upper crust dinner (with the exception of Kathy Bates' infamous Molly Brown) followed by DiCaprio's Jack leading Rose down to the lower deck where the real party is happening.... Jupiter wins this tug of war and Rose's final choice offers the freedom she so desires. Being True to yourself is almost everything.

FEBRUARY 18-20: CHALLENGING SAGITTARIUS MOON

MOON IS VOID OF COURSE until 1:42pm EST on Saturday, February 18th. Important practical actions initiated at this time tend not to work out as planned or desired. This energy is optimally utilized for inner creative work or envisioning future actions. Best to wait, if you can, until Tuesday, the 21st to act, when the Moon is more favorable in Capricorn. MOON ENTERS SAGITTARIUS at 1:42pm on Saturday and remains until Monday the 20th at 6:37pm, when it goes VOID OF COURSE for the rest of the night. LAST ASPECT OF MOON: Moon Conjunct Sagittarius. This normally high-spirited, adventurous Moon is likely to be curtailed by it's conjunction to the Saturn Last Aspect. Ruled by Jupiter, this Mutable Fire sign may still show its passion and interest in expanded philosophical ideas but generally speaking, actions initiated during this time are likely to have CHALLENGING resolutions. Saturn contracts Jupiter's inclination for growth. The least optimum expression of Sag can present as arrogance and single-mindedness, insisting others believe what we do. It can be useful for its over-exuberance to be checked by Saturn's more serious and practical demeanor. We may feel a push/pull between the two different energies. Note: This happens to be DT's (also known as 'delerium tremens') current Moon condition. Trump has Moon in Sag with Saturn transiting over it (retrograde and direct) until this September! (Saturn has been engaged with his Moon since the inauguration - conflict with The Feminine much?) His arrogant behavior is likely to be checked and double checked at least until then.

SUN ENTERS PISCES today, Saturday, at 6:32am EST. Ruled by Neptune, we enter the Dreamtime of our yearly cycle. While potent symbols, artistic jewels of the imagination and our connection with the Divine are more available to us, our relationship to the practical mundane world may be a bit slippery. Pisces/Neptune is the 'urge to merge', all is one and one is all, so boundaries and definitions are not necessarily evident. The exuberant single-minded Truth seeker Sagittarius can quickly turn to inflated self aggrandizing arrogance in its least optimum expression as we witness in this top-of-the-charts classic film about media mogul Kane. This scene acknowledges the Great Depression as Saturn, putting him largely out of business. No matter how you work it, Citizen Trump, Saturn comes to all men, even one's with Towers named for them in grotesquely huge gold building blocks. Could the DT's great empire of wealth end like Kane's?

FEBRUARY 16-17: GREAT SCORPIO MOON!

MOON IN SCORPIO from 1:41am EST on Thursday, February 16 until Friday, February 17 at 2:38pm when it goes VOID OF COURSE for the rest of the day. LAST ASPECT OF MOON: Moon Sextile Pluto in Capricorn. This is a very strong time to initiate actions in the area of Resources: Investments, purchases, any financial endeavor. Pluto is the Ruler of Scorpio so the Moon is very strong now and is likely to reflect opportunities and success in this arena. It is also an excellent time to go deep into the psychological realm to resolve issues, as Scorpio can reflect the Archetype of The Healer. This time feeds our love of mysteries and engaging with unknown matters and the unconscious psyche. Pluto is synonymous with Power and Control, so be conscious of others' needs and rights in your dealings now. Virginia which invalidated state laws prohibiting interracial marriage. Their time had come. They were in sync with the collective movement during the cultural revolution of the 60's which included the demand for racial equality.

FEBRUARY 11-13: CHALLENGING VIRGO MOON

MOON IN VIRGO from 8:52am EST on Saturday February 11 until 7:36am on Monday February 13. LAST ASPECT OF MOON: Moon Square Saturn in Sagittarius. After being VOID OF COURSE early Saturday morning, the Moon begins its transit through the Mutable Earth sign Virgo. Ruled by Mercury the activated themes now are Communication, Travel and Mind Processes. As reflected by the Last Aspect Square to Saturn, these areas will tend to be confronted with difficulties at this time. In particular, Writing, Teaching, Analyzing, as well as any attempts at maintaining order or perfection are all likely to be tested. It's possible that we witness others or ourselves being critical and/or judgmental of our work or relationships. The analytical skills of these three computer-literate women were questioned every step of the way by the ruling white males who just couldn't get it through their heads that a Black Woman could be smart, hired by NASA, and/or be responsible for the mathematics of getting an astronaut into space and back again. Moon (The Feminine) in Virgo (Analytical orientation) Square (Challenged by) Saturn in Sag (Limitation of 'Wiser' Authority Figures). Ultimately, the truly weaker sex had to let it in; while it meant being humiliated, it also meant the space program was actually able to accomplish the task at hand. We forgive you. But, really, get with de-program. 

FEBRUARY 9-10: FAIR LEO FULL MOON ECLIPSE!

MOON IN LEO from 4:41am EST on Thursday, February 9 until 0:52am on Saturday February 11. LAST ASPECT OF MOON: Moon Trine Saturn in Sagittarius.This Fixed Firey Moon period will have an abundance of energy and passion to initiate projects. The Trine to Saturn Last Aspect will ground it, making visions manifest in reality. As we build towards the FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE on Friday (so sorry for the Saturday slip!) at 7:33pm EST at 22 Leo, this is a time for the Culmination of projects or actions, especially those initiated at the New Moon two weeks ago on January 27th.

The Lunar Eclipse, when the Earth is positioned between the Sun and the Moon, and its shadow blocks the Sun's reflected light on the Moon, is also considered a time to let go of what no longer serves us. But others come to her rescue knowing that it's her big heart that counts. 

FEBRUARY 7-8: FAIR CANCER MOON

MOON IN CANCER from 2:03am EST Tuesday, February 7 until 5:00pm Wednesday, February 8 when it goes VOID OF COURSE for the rest of the night. LAST ASPECT OF MOON: Moon Square Jupiter in Libra. The Moon in her own Cardinal Water sign of Cancer rules the Feminine. This can be a very emotionally sensitive time. We may be subjective, taking things very personally and expressing upsets...often in the form of introverted moodiness. The Square to Jupiter Last Aspect, as well as building toward the FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE on the 10th, can increase the sensitivity and expression, especially for and with women. Cancer is associated with home and family - what we are drawn to nourish - so this arena is particularly vulnerable. While her sister's resentful moodiness, a result of her arranged marriage to Tita's true amour, reflects the over-emotional aspect of Cancer, we see how we are able to rise above the sadness of loss through the ecstatic aesthetic of culinary excellence! Aided by that Capricorn Mercury, there sure are a lot of hammers bangin' in a lot of nails in this clip. It's pretty cool to watch a barn raising, witnessing what raw strength can be harnessed when the whole village gets to work! We also notice Venus subtly showing her face as a 'love-triangle' is born - Amish-style...strict traditional rules are honored and no bullies allowed. Kelly McGillis, as Rachel, must discern for herself what she values most, her family and community or the exciting love of an outsider.
