JUNE 10-12: CHALLENGING CAPRICORN MOON
MOON ENTERS CAPRICORN at 7:36am EDT on Saturday, June 10 after a VOID OF COURSE early morning. It remains in Capricorn until Monday, June 12 at 2:45pm. LAST ASPECT OF MOON: Moon Square Uranus in Aries. The practical and emotionally restrained Saturn-ruled Capricorn
Moon is likely to feel shaken up by the Mars-ruled Aries Uranus
now. Sudden upsets may thwart our well-intentioned routines and ambition. We may be
asked to broaden our limited perspective to allow more freedom to a
situation. Structures may be broken down in a surprising manner. Leadership may take an unexpected turn. Saturn rules that which is crystallized - so in the body it reflects the skeletal system and teeth. A transit from Uranus tends to reflect things being broken apart, so be conscious in your movement not to break any bones! In general, actions initiated during this period tend to have CHALLENGING resolutions. While
changes may jolt us out of our daily patterns, perhaps it behooves us to
pay attention to something we've been overlooking or about which we've
been in denial: Answer the Uranian Wake-Up Call.
SCENE FOR THE DAY: Nixon, 1995; Director: Oliver Stone. A classic Capricorn, ambitious Richard Nixon climbed to the top of the political mountain and was shockingly brought down during the Watergate coverup scandal of 1972-4. In this clip we witness Stone's vision of Nixon's advisors addressing the call for his impeachment, a Uranian disruption to his presidency. Interestingly, at the time of his resignation, Uranus was making a t-square to his natal Sun in Capricorn opposite his Neptune in Cancer - which can signify a breaking up or a sudden bringing to light of a deceptive (Neptune) nature. Saturn reflects structure - that which brings things to form. Structures limit space. The restricting nature of Saturn's archetype often makes it difficult for this sign, especially for the Capricorn Moon, to feel love and a sense of belonging. (Nixon's Moon was in Aquarius, also ruled by Saturn traditionally - before the modern discovery of Uranus). There's a quote in this film by Henry Kissinger, then Secretary of State, played by Paul Sorvino, "Can you imagine
what this man would be like had anyone ever loved him?" Nixon's character is remarkably embodied by actor Anthony Hopkins; Joan Allen plays Pat Nixon; Ed Harris, James Woods and E.G. Marshall play politicos Howard Hunt, H.R. Haldeman and John Mitchell respectively. This film is a masterpiece.
