JULY 23-25: GOOD LEO NEW MOON
MOON ENTERS LEO at 4:34am EDT on Sunday July 23 and remains here until Tuesday, July 25 at 5:22am. LAST ASPECT OF MOON: Moon Conjunct Mercury in Leo. NEW MOON IS EXACT at 5:46am on Sunday, July 23 at 0 degrees Leo. The SUN's
archetype is highlighted now as both the Sun and Moon are both under its
rulership in the Fixed Fire sign of Leo. Our sense of Selfhood is front and
center. How we express ourselves, both verbally, physically and
spiritually reveals our true nature. The conjunction to Mercury should
afford us the ability to communicate well, though Moon/Mercury
connections can be tricky. Our emotions can affect our thinking and we may not be able to be objective when we need to be. Or it can work the other way, and we are bothered by others overly-expressing their emotions. In Leo, we may over-dramatize our needs as well as be
over-enthusiastic about...everything! While this may not be such a bad thing, get a reality check - see what's appropriate for the situation and what others need. We can't play center stage; remember to share. Child of the zodiac and ruler of the Heart, Leo loves to play - especially at love affairs! Enjoy this very creative New Moon
with activities that are Fun. Actions initiated during this NEW MOON period tend to have GOOD
resolutions.
SCENE FOR THE DAY: Terms of Endearment, 1983; Director: James L. Brooks. I do realize one doesn't think of this film for Leo playfulness, but it does have one of the most memorable beach joyride scenes ever! Leo Ascending Jack Nicholson, at his playboy best, sits atop of his seat back steering his Corvette with his foot on the wheel while Shirley MacLaine, as wild-woman Aurora has the pedal to the metal. He's having the time of his life, sporting his characteristic shades and singing in the wind through his ear to ear grin. What center stage Leo chemistry these two actors have together! (Both have Sun in Taurus.) It's fun until it quickly gets...shall we say over-enthusiastic...but a love affair doth ensue...
