JULY 2 - 4: EXCELLENT SCORPIO MOON

MOON REMAINS IN LIBRA until 9:16am EDT on Sunday when it goes VOID OF COURSE until 12:59pm. See June 30 for more Libra info. Important practical actions initiated during the V/C period tend not to work out as planned. It's best to use this time for inner creative work or planning future actions. MOON ENTERS SCORPIO at 12:59pm on Sunday, July 2 and remains here until Tuesday, July 4 at 9:34pm. LAST ASPECT OF MOON: Moon Trine Mercury in Cancer. Ruled by Pluto, and traditionally by Mars, this Fixed Water sign reflects the depths we can mine when elements are ripe. With the harmonious Trine angle to Mercury, also in a Water sign, communication is rich beyond the imagination. All this Water indicates emotions which will very likely run high and deep! This is an EXCELLENT opportunity for self-investigation and healing. We may be drawn to engage with all kinds of mysteries which tempt us into uncharted territories. The unconscious psyche is likely to be very active, making symbols - as tools - available to us now. Pluto rules resources, especially those of others, so investments and purchases are also advantageous during this time. Do your research but trust your intuitive gut about when to sell. This is also a very creative time for artists, as the life force, is very strong. Our sexuality is consequently front and center, heightened by language of the sensual. Actions initiated now along all these themes tend to have EXCELLENT resolutions. Transformation is at hand! From the deathly sting of the scorpion and serpent, to the omniscient perspective of the eagle, to the resurrection of the phoenix.

SCENE FOR THE DAY: The Lost City of Z, 2016; Director: James Gray. Charlie Hunnam, of Sons of Anarchy Fame, (though I think of him from a memorable 2011 Sundance film, The Ledge and more recently, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) plays Col. Percy Fawcett, real life British explorer in search of a lost Amazon civilization. The film is completely Scorpionic both in narrative and dark visceral visuals. Fawcett is compelled to solve a mystery, find what is hidden from view and is willing to enter the unknown - facing death many times over - in order to find it. Robert Patterson, of the Twilight series fame, continues to develop his dramatic chops as Fawcett's colleague and Sienna Miller brings Venus to the picture as Fawcett's left-behind wife. I was resistant to see this film at first because of the seemingly inevitable violence - only to discover it was much more character driven than gory. Indeed, it casts a magnetic spell - within which one is quite willing to be suspended.
