OCTOBER 2-4: CHALLENGING PISCES MOON

After a VOID OF COURSE early morning, the MOON ENTERS PISCES at 10:26am EDT on Monday, October 2. It remains here until 3:19am on Wednesday, October 4. LAST ASPECT OF MOON: Moon Square Saturn in Sagittarius. Ruled by Neptune, this Mutable Water sign is likely to reflect our imagination being tested with a reality check from Saturn. Feelings are likely to be constrained or hurt. The sensitive Pisces Moon wants to drift along the undefined numinous space where dreams and spirit live. The rational and material world may be experienced as a hindrance to this journey. Neptune/Pisces can reflect confusion, deception and boundary issues so perhaps the reality check is important and we need to be pulled back to the material world where definition appears clearer. All the same, try to allow yourself the wisdom and creativity that is also available. Painting, Music, Poetry, Photography and Film are some of the art forms that offer the non-rational aspect of the psyche vehicles to awareness. Meditation in any form also serves as an opening. Because the Saturnian archetype of form and structure is so qualitatively different from the nebulous Neptune archetype - reality vs. illusion  -  actions initiated during this Moon period tend to have a Challenging resolution. It might serve us to consciously create a protective energetic cocoon around our physical body now, as we may be particularly open to the invisible world - including toxins and the will of others.

PISCES SCENE FOR THE DAY: The Truman Show, 1998; Director: Peter Weir. Truman lives in a constructed reality. In this scene he discovers that what he believed to be true has been a complete illusion. His environment is a literal structure created by others. But he also realizes that he has the power to release himself from this deception which, according to his sensory perceptions, confines him. The Truman metaphor works - and the take-away is that what appears to be true may not be what is true. Literal Saturnian reality is, by its archetypal definition, limited. Neptune and Pisces show us that with imagination, even the sky is not the limit.
